Credera Named a 2022 Top Internship Program by WayUp

Credera is excited to be included in WayUp’s 2022 Top 100 Internship Programs for the second consecutive year! This annual list recognizes standout internship programs deemed to be the best in the United States. The results are based on company nominations, industry expert judges, and thousands of public votes.

About WayUp’s Top 100 Internship Program List

Thousands of companies submitted nominations with detailed information about their internship programs. Each submission was then anonymized and reviewed by a panel of qualified judges, while votes from the public were also tallied. The final list’s selection is based 30% on public votes and 70% on judges’ scores.

Judges prioritized the following criteria:

Diversity and inclusion
Compensation and perks
Program orientation and structure
Career development for interns
Full-time employment prospects
Company culture and engagement
Unique aspects of the program

Each year’s selection process is extremely competitive, and only about 50-60% of winners from a prior year are selected again. Judges look for specific and unique ways the companies value their interns. The winners go beyond simply providing strategic projects or interactions with executives, which is now common among over 90% of the nominations.

About Credera’s Internship Program

Credera’s 10-week summer internship program provides a professionally challenging experience that allows students to immerse themselves in the consulting world. Our top priority is to provide an honest demonstration of Credera’s culture and our consulting engagements so students can fully understand who we are, what we do, and whether they want to join the Credera family if given the opportunity. Our interns are treated as full-time employees and members of the Credera family as they are staffed on a current project team, invited to all-company events, and participate in our internal professional development and mentorship programs.

What Sets Credera’s Internship Program Apart

Credera’s internship program has many unique facets that gives opportunities for interns to truly feel like a part of the Credera family. The special aspects focus on opportunities to get involved, mentorship, and our leadership development conference.

Opportunities to Get Involved: Throughout the summer, Credera interns are invited to attend a variety of continuous learning and development events designed for educating and preparing young professionals for the workforce. They are also invited to many fun social events with their project team or employees within their market to further develop relationships within Credera.

Credera also has several employee resource groups (ERGs), including Credera Women’s Network, OPEN Pride Credera, and CredCOLOR, with which interested interns are encouraged to engage. Each ERG aims to connect employees through personal and professional development, while allowing them the opportunity to make an impact on the firm.

Lastly, our interns enjoy connecting with each other, so we intentionally planned intern-only events. This year, interns came together to serve their local communities through various volunteer initiatives, in partnership with Credera Community Impact, Credera’s community involvement initiative. Additionally, they spent National Intern Day celebrating one another through peer-recognition and at various social outings.

Spaces for Mentorship: All interns are intentionally paired with a project mentor and career coach who provide ongoing support and guidance during their 10 weeks with Credera. A project mentor is staffed on the same project as an intern and provides real-time feedback and celebrates contributions in their day-to-day work.

Career coaches answer questions, provide ongoing guidance, and understand their career aspirations and how Credera can support them in achieving their goals. Both project mentors and career coaches meet with interns on a regular basis throughout the summer.

Leadership Development Conference: Perhaps the most unique aspect is the culmination of the program. The final few days of Credera’s internship program are not pressured with project deadlines or end-of-summer recap presentations, but rather a two-day leadership development conference. Interns from across the nation are flown to Credera’s headquarters in Dallas for an in-person event completely dedicated to developing them as people.

Not one panel, presentation, or event within this conference is centered around selling the interns on Credera. Rather, the sessions are uniquely designed to provide interns with tools, resources, and guidance so they can be successful in whatever career path they choose to pursue.
