About the audit
A SOC 2 examination is a report on controls at a service organization relevant to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. SOC 2 Type II attestation builds on SOC 2 Type I by extending the evaluation period and assessing the ongoing effectiveness of these controls over an extended period, typically six months to a year. While SOC 2 Type I evaluates the design and implementation of controls at a specific point in time, SOC 2 Type II ensures they consistently operate as intended.
