Credera’s chief data scientist named a top AI innovator in Dallas-Fort Worth

On Thursday, May 2, Vincent Yates was named to the 2024 Dallas Innovates AI 75 list. This list recognizes leaders in the DFW metroplex who are leading the charge in utilizing and innovating with artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

Nominations for the award opened in February 2024 and focused on those making the biggest waves with AI. The editors of Dallas Innovates led the honoree selection review, with Aamer Charania and Babar Bhatti of Dallas AI and the Dallas Regional Chamber (DRC)’s Duane Dankesreiter providing guidance on the editors’ selections.

AI in DFW

“The Dallas region is the fastest-growing high-tech center in the country,” said Duane Dankesreiter, senior vice president of research and innovation at the DRC. “We launched the program with Dallas Innovates because we’re truly inspired by the incredible talent we have right here. These brilliant minds are not just working on AI; they’re changing the game and shaping what’s next.”

Dankesreiter also noted that Dallas-Fort Worth is “uniquely positioned as a hub for applied AI and advanced AI research,” noting the region’s talent network and industry diversity.

Vincent Yates is the global chief data scientist at Credera and serves on the Strategic Growth Leadership Team, which drives Credera’s global growth by activating emerging trends and new client opportunities.

Yates joined the Credera leadership team in 2019. His work focuses on AI, data science, and strategy, and his goal is to bring data and data science to solve client problems in novel ways, unlocking new potential that did not previously exist.

Prior to joining Credera, Vincent worked as chief data scientist for GE Digital, director of analytics engineering for Zillow Group, and the head of data science at Uber. He’s also led teams at Microsoft and Yammer. Vincent got his start in data science after a doctorate program in statistics at U.C. Berkeley.
